🌸About me🌸 I’m Yuki :) I was born and raised in Osaka and now I live in Chiba. I speak both standard Japanese and Kansai dialect. I love watching musicals, painting (watercolors and glass painting), playing the ukulele and traveling. I used to work in sales for IT company and I did a bit of web content writing about travel (domestic and overseas). I’m a easy-going and open-minded person. I love getting to know people from different countries and exchange culture, language or ideas. That’s why I decided to be a Japanese teacher as my second career. Teaching Japanese language and culture is my passion and I would be happy to help you in every aspect of your learning :) 🌸About my lesson🌸 *Currently I'm not taking new students for textbook class and JLPT class. I was born in Japan and studied in Canada and USA. When I was studying music in LA, I learned Brazilian music and a couple of years later I went to Brazil and met my husband. I didn't know how to speak Portuguese at that time, I only knew how to sing in Portuguese, but from the very first day of Brazil I learned how to have fun and communicate with people without knowing much of the theory and vocabulary. It was just like how people learn jazz. There's a theory behind, but the most importantly we should feel and improvise. And to understand the theory, you first should listen, listen and listen. So my learning and teaching method can be a little unique. It's not like the traditional way that we all know, which you read, write, and listen to the explanations, instead, I want you to feel it. It's important to study and understand the grammar and try to memorize as much vocabularies as you can, but you can't forget to have fun, and you can't memorize things by just reading and thinkin...

I believe strengthening listening comprehension skills is the key to navigate language with confidence. ★ Absolute Beginners Welcome!!! ★ Informal fun lessons tailored to suit every individuals. Never has learning Japanese been so enjoyable and achievable; ) All class material is provided. Hi Japanese learners! I am Chiaki, I was born and grew up in Japan, I have lived in Australia for a year and lived in the UK for the last 5 years. In the UK I gave private Japanese lessons to several British students. I enjoyed time with my students so much that I wanted to start to teaching online to meet more people in different countries. Have you ever experienced the situation where you have taken a phrase from a Japanese textbook and said it to a Japanese person and received only a confused look in response? Probably the reason is that textbooks tend to teach Japanese in an ultra-polite form. Those basics are very important to know but you also need to know the casual way to say things, as native speakers do, to make conversations flow. This is also necessary to understand what Jap...

I am a "Nisei-Nikkei" (born and raised in Mexico descended from Japanese parents-second generation). I have lived in the USA and Canada, but most of my life in Mexico. I have had several English, Japanese, and Spanish conversation groups while I was a college student. I used to work at some international companies in different positions. I think that the best way to learn other languages is by practicing, and there is no more rewarding and funny way to practice than talking!
