LikedHave stayed many times before. Love its distinctive Victorian architecture and “olde-world” charm.
DislikedDidn’t ask, but would have preferred a room closer to lift (arthritis!). I tried to use the upgrade option from a Booking.com email, but it wouldn’t work. We’ve stayed here many times before. In the past reception staff have known this and acknowledged it, with small courtesies … Not so, this time … Don’t “expect” it, but it’s nice when it happens …

LikedAmbience and home away from home feel. Ability to have fresh air in the room if desired. Bedding and furnishings echo quality.
DislikedWe did notice a small mouse scurry from under the tub chair to behind the bed late at night ( we did have a cheese platter sent up to the room!)
