How to save up to £300 a year

With Heat Pump Plus, you'll pay the lower rate of 15p per kWh for the electricity your heat pump uses. And your standard electricity rate for the rest of your home. 

First, we'll charge all of your electricity use at the rate in your energy plan. Then, once we know how much electricity was used by the heat pump, we'll credit back the difference the next month.

Heat Pump Plus is a new product, and we're currently limiting it to the first 100 customers who sign up. This is so we can review this add-on, and make improvements. Please see terms and conditions for more information.

1 Actual sum is £303.54. When you add Heat Pump Plus to your plan, your home energy rate will stay the same, but the energy consumed by your heat pump will be charged at an effective rate of 15p per kWh (thanks to payment of your Heat Pump Plus credit).The £303.54 saving is based on an air source heat pump with a UK average Seasonal Coefficient of Performance (or efficiency rating) of 2.8 and an annual consumption of 3,644 kWh with the Heat Pump Plus add-on compared to OVO's average SVT rate of 23.33p per kWh. Actual savings will vary depending on your heat pump usage, efficiency rating and the cost per kWh of your standard home energy tariff
