Is There A Limit To The Length Of Trip I Can Be Covered For?
The maximum length of trip you can be covered for is 18 months.
Are Temporary Home Visits Allowed During My Policy Term?
With a Spectrum Gap Year policy you are able to visit home on a temporary basis once during your period of cover without it invalidating your policy. The visit home must not exceed 14 days and your cover will cease from your arrival home and be reinstated on your departure.
I Have a Medical Condition – Can I Take Out Gap Year Cover?
We realise that you might be concerned about declaring a condition – whether it’s the fact that you don’t want to answer lots of questions, or you’re concerned about what the cover might cost. What Area Of Travel Should I Choose?
To keep things simple we offer three area options:
- Europe
- Australia & New Zealand
- Worldwide including USA, Canada and the Caribbean
For example, if you are planning on heading to Thailand, Vietnam and Australia during your time away you’d need to select Worldwide including USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
Also if you take out cover for Australia and New Zealand, then stopovers, both on the outward and return journey, of up to 72 hours are permitted in any country covered under the Worldwide including USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
When Should I Take Out Gap Year Cover?
Once you purchase your Spectrum Gap Year policy you’re immediately covered for cancellation so it’s best to take out your cover as soon as you have booked your trip.
